AC/DC's concert in Imola was a night to remember for 70,000 fans at the racetrack: "Happy to be back."

Imola, July 20, 2025 – A sea of red horns flaring in the darkness , fireworks, smoke, lights , and a veritable storm of sound: this is how the AC/DC concert at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Racetrack in Imola ended in an explosion of energy . A night to remember , powerful and captivating, worthy of one of the greatest rock bands in history.

Seventy thousand spectators welcomed the return of the legendary Australian band , exactly ten years after their last appearance on the banks of the Santerno . An event that attracted fans from all over Italy and even abroad. Among the audience were entire families, groups of friends, young people experiencing their first live show, and rock diehards who have never missed a tour. All there, under the same sky, to celebrate Angus Young, Brian Johnson , and their bandmates. Johnson himself greeted the ecstatic crowd: " Ciao Imola , it's great to be back." On the big screen , a virtual racing car crossed the finish line of the circuit, opening the evening with a symbolic image. Then, without warning, the first notes of If You Want Blood (You've Got It) ignited the crowd. It was pure delirium. "Back in Black" followed, and the Autodromo became one voice.
A setlist of around twenty songs, faithful to those featured in recent European shows, shook the entire venue with vibrations and nostalgia . Black T-shirts, rivers of beer, and the iconic illuminated horns created the perfect atmosphere for a night of pure rock 'n' roll. "Thunderstruck" immediately evokes the Formula 1 imagery so dear to Imola; "Hells Bells" with its stage bell dropping menacingly from above; and, of course, "Highway to Hell," sung by seventy thousand voices.
Time seems to have stopped, not just ten years ago, but decades of rock history , brought to life through every riff and drumbeat. The crowd explodes to the tunes of "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Let There Be Rock," and "TNT," songs that still retain their power today. The climax comes with the inevitable "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)," closing with a volley of cannon shots, blinding lights, and unison choruses.
On stage, a monumental set of LED panels, synchronized lights, smoke bombs, and fireworks. A sound system that shakes you to the core, but never blurs or goes haywire. Angus Young dominates the stage with his unmistakable style. He runs, jumps, plays. And delivers one of the most intense solos of the entire evening, surrounded by an explosion of confetti. Brian Johnson – 77 years old – never misses a beat. His voice is rough, powerful, always recognizable. His energy is that of a young man. He holds the stage for over two hours without a drop, cheering on the audience, smiling between songs.
A textbook show, crafted with the precision and power that only the greats can bring to the stage. AC/DC promise no surprises: they promise rock. And once again, they kept their word.
